Brandy Kawulka
aka the Boss Lady, is a ticketed joiner (cabinet maker) and has been involved in the construction sector since 1994. Comfortable on the tools and in the office, she lives up to the moniker “Boss Lady.” With an eye for the details, an expectation of high level of craftsmanship from all the sub-trades, and high-level communication on every project, clients receive the feeling of VIP service and can sleep well at night knowing that they can trust that the project will be done correctly, on time and on budget.
She runs 2 divisions of work. Abris Construction is taking on the light commercial, TI (tenant improvement) & strata work. Wood Be Art Renovations takes on the residential renovation side of the work - www.woodbeart.com
She also hosts a podcast called All Things Renovation, where resources and knowledge are shared about the construction industry
As an advocate of women in the trades, Brandy also funds a bursary for women entering into the carpentry and joinery foundations programs at BCIT.
